Members of the Scout Troop in Danville were presented with
a check for $400 to help with expenses as they travel to
England to attend the International Scouting Camp in 2008.
Club Vice President Jennifer McNabb made the presentation.

2008 Scholarship Winners: Emily Murphy
and Brandon Hoover. Each student received
a $500 scholarship. Emily will be attending
Purdue University and Brandon will be
attending Indiana University. The Danville
Kiwanis congratulate both of students and
wish them the best.

Prize Winners
Christmas Cards will be sold at Fair on the Square.
Winners of last year's Christmas Card art contest
will be able to purchase boxed sets of their art work
at Fair on the Square, Saturday Sept.6 and Sunday
Sept.7th
A packaged set of 8 cards(5x7) with envelopes will
sell for $10. You can purchase a set with multi
designs or there will sets of each design.
Elephant Ears Success Again
Thanks to the great efforts of all the Danville
and Plainfield Kiwanis the Elephant Ears at
the 4-H Fair was a great success. Whether it
is taking money, rolling dough, or generously
pouring on the sugar and cinnamon this fund
raising activity is a favorite of fair goers and
Kiwanis' members. Thanks to Lisa Hoover
for heading up the Chapter's events.
Recent lunch speakers have included:
Dr. Denis Ward, new Superintendent of Danville
Community schools and his wife, Marsha.
Ben McNabb, member of Boy Scout Troop 301
who recently went to England and Europe, a trip
supported by the local chapter.
Mrs. Brenda Burnell of Youth Leadership
Hendricks County explained the various
activities that the youth participate in.
