- B.U.G. Tutoring Program @ South Elementary cafeteria – meets on Mondays & Wednesdays (2:
20pm-3:15pm) each week with 4,5,6 graders to work on homework and study skills.
Sheltering Wings – matched funds for new security system and assist with needs of women and
children in residence.
- Annual Easter Egg Hunt @ Ellis Park – provides family fun for children age 2-9 with candy filled
eggs, grand prizes in three age groups and pictures with Easter Bunny.
- Sponsor of Free Summer Film Series for children @ Danville’s Royal Theater.
- Lunch Bunch sponsor – provide sack lunch to children in community and help promote reading
and physical fitness.
- Sponsored Eagle Scout Projects at Hopes Way and Danville Public Library.
- Donated to Susie’s Place - child assistance center.
- Project Angel – community project for families at Christmas providing food, clothing, and toys.
- Elephant Ears @ 4-H Fair – fundraiser (in partnership with Plainfield Kiwanis) to support local
projects for children including college scholarship and AED’s for 4-H fairgrounds.
- Winterland Sponsor, Danville Chamber of Commerce – holiday light display in Ellis Park.
- Participated in annual Tri-Kappa’s Fair on the Square event. Pasted out free balloons to children
and sold coloring books and Christmas Cards.
Danville Parks & Recreation – Park Bench
- Local Families in need – provide food for pantry restocking at Christmas.
- Scholarships @ Danville High School – essay contest awarded to three High School Seniors.
- Hoosier Burn Camp, Inc. – provide money for a child suffering the burden of burn recovery an
opportunity to attend a week-long camp with swimming, horseback riding, crafts and singing.
Builders Club @ Danville Public Library with Teen Advisory Council.
- Danville High School Student Council – helped members attend convention.
- Veteran’s Day Recognition – in conjunction with Dave’s All American Pizza local Kiwanis supply
volunteers to provide a free prime rib dinner for any veteran.
- Meals on Wheels – delivers meals to elderly and shut-ins monthly.
- Sponsor of 2008 & 2009 Danville High School Post Prom
- Hendricks Symphonic Society – program sponsor.
- Danville Community School Corp. – donated 1,440 pencils to guidance department to give to
students in need.
